About Mike Agron

Mike Agron is a Principal with Agron Consulting Group, a Sacramento based consultancy focused exclusively on helping technology companies with their partnership objectives.  Mike helps organizations create High Impact and High Performance partnerships to drive predictable revenue and expand market share.  He brings over 25 years experience with leading technology hardware and software firms including Apple, Oracle, MapInfo and deCarta where he’s developed best practices from working in the trenches, and from leading global alliances, channel and partner sales teams that managed VARs, SIs, ISVs and OEMs.

He was most recently vice president of Business Development and on the executive management team at deCarta.  deCarta is a fast growing privately held location-based services (LBS) company that develops and markets a geospatial platform that has location-enabled industry leading applications deployed by Google Maps, Zillow.com, Hotels.com, Verizon, Sprint and others across the Internet, Mobile/Wireless, Enterprise and Personal Navigation markets.  His responsibilities included developing partner relationships and programs with a focus on growing the Enterprise market.

He also possesses a solid record of success in sales, business development, strategic partner management, and developing high performing alliances on a national and global basis. His ability to conceptualize and implement innovative plans through partnering was exemplified at MapInfo, where he pioneered the location-enablement of business intelligence applications that drove new revenue streams by striking new relationships with major software companies.
