Position : MEM1 : Manufacturing Engineering Manger

The Manufacturing Engineering Manager is responsible for managing a team of engineers and technicians in supporting our mainstream manufacturing facility in Sacramento. He/She is fully responsible for the planning, development, implementation, and maintenance of manufacturing methods, processes, and operations for new and existing products. Ensures that the manufacturing engineering team and other operations departments work cohesively.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Overall Manufacturing Engineering leadership including but not limited to the following:

  •  Oversee the maintenance and improvement of manufacturing processes to ensure proper product functionality as well as enhancing the process to achieve maximum cost efficiency.

  •  Responsible to develop, implement, and lead Lean Manufacturing concepts and processes throughout the site including 2-bin kanban, materials-flow mapping, TAKT time analysis, line-balancing, ergonomics and investment trade-off’s.

  • Manage direct staff from every aspect of people management, including job objective setting, planning, recruitment / hiring, staff appraisal and department member tasks and project management.

  • Develop and manage Manufacturing-BOM process for overall product lines.  Coordinate Engineering-Changes (EC/PCN) execution within Manufacturing to support proper BOM update & maintenance.

  • Manage the maintenance and upgrade of all manufacturing equipment including Test Equipment and supporting Technician team to achieve the highest availability and uptime.

  • Responsible to develop and continuously improve manufacturing capabilities based on product design, materials, tooling, production equipment capabilities, assembly methods, and quality control standards.

  • Perform statistical and trend analysis on parametric data, recommending improvements within the process or product which will assist in minimizing line failures in order to provide better quality products and assure improving trends.

  • Assisting the New Product Introduction groups and the test development engineers in bringing on-line new processes to the Sacramento facility

  • Ensures the manufacturing engineering team work cohesively with other operations departments in a global operations framework with Asia and Europe

 Secondary Duties and Responsibilities
