About our Speaker
Dr. Mohamad Afshar is Director of Product Management for Oracle9i Application Server - the only complete and integrated middleware platform. His focus includes middleware architecture, web services vision, and evangelism. Dr. Afshar was most recently the CEO of a startup that built Java/XML based infrastructure for powering automated speech applications, and his second startup is now one of the leaders in Business Activity Monitoring (BAM). He has had numerous speaking engagements and conference attendances at both business-oriented conferences and academic conferences. Dr. Afshar has a PhD degree in Parallel Database Systems from University of Cambridge, UK.
