Corley Phillips
Corley Phillips is a General Partner with American River Ventures, an investor in early stage information technology companies. Mr. Phillips has been active in a number of angel investing groups, including the Sierra Angels and the Sacramento Angels and has been an active seed-stage investor in Northern California and Northern Nevada.
Prior to his activities as an angel investor, Mr. Phillips had a distinguished entrepreneurial career. From 1990 until its successful merger with State of the Art (NASDAQ: SOTA) at the end of 1994, he served as President and CEO of Manzanita Software Systems, an accounting software company based in Roseville, CA. From 1984 to 1990, he was President and co-founder of Grafpoint, a communications software company based in San Jose, California, which merged with White Pine Software (NASDAQ: WPNE). He previously held various sales and marketing positions with Envision Technology and Hewlett-Packard.
Mr. Phillips holds a BSEE and MSEE from Washington University, St. Louis, and an MBA from Santa Clara University. He sits on the boards of Reshape, Clovis Solutions and Senforce Technologies.
Chris Russell
Chris Russell is the Office Counsel at the Sacramento office of Morrison Foerster. His practice focuses on corporate and securities matters, mergers and acquisitions, venture capital and corporate financings, formation of limited liability companies, venture capital funds and other investment partnerships, corporate restructurings, federal and state securities law compliance, and general corporate and securities counseling of public and private companies.
Mr. Russell regularly advises start-up and emerging growth private companies, life science companies, public companies, institutional investors in their investments in venture capital, venture capital funds, general and limited partners, shareholders and boards of directors
Christopher Chediak
Christopher Chediak is a shareholder at Weintraub Genshlea Chediak, practicing in the areas of business, corporate and intellectual property. Mr. Chediak serves as head of the Corporate, Securities & Financial Institutions section. Mr. Chediak was admitted to the State Bar of California in 1983, after receiving his J.D. from the University of Southern California.
Mr. Chediak, who is an author or numerous publications, has acted as a consultant to Continuing Education of the Bar (CEB) for the books Commercial Sales and Leases and Drafting Business Agreements. He serves on the Board of Directors of the Sacramento Regional Technology Alliance, UC Davis Advisory Committee, UC Davis Connect, the Sacramento Entrepreneurship Academy and is an instructor in the Golden Gate University Executive MBA Program. He is also a member of the Dean's Advisory Council at the University of California, Davis. Mr. Chediak has served on the 1997 recruitment committee for the Vice Chancellor of Research at University of California, Davis.
Kirk Minami, Chief Financial Officer
Kirk Minami is the Chief Financial Officer of Jadoo Power Systems and has over 16 years experience and leadership in financial, accounting, treasury and other administrative management. Mr. Minami has held senior management positions in finance and operations for successful start-up environments. Mr. Minami has broad financial experience in strategic business planning, infrastructure development, business financing and cash management, merger & acquisitions, SEC reporting and international operations.
