Smart Grid has come of age.  While the technology has been around for many years, recent eco-political and technical developments have put Smart grid in the spotlight and implementation plans are now accelerated. California is ramping up its investment in smart energy infrastructure and policy.  On the demand side, utilities are connecting “smart meters” to millions of customers, appliance manufacturers are producing devices that talk to the grid, and hundreds of other firms are creating hardware and software innovations to facilitate saving energy and managing peak power.  These developments could fundamentally transform the relationship between customers, utilities and the energy they consume, and could enable the next generation of energy efficiency.

Join us on June 24th  as TechCoire hosts  a panel of industry leaders and experts as they address interesting, provocative, and occasionally tough questions related to evolution of the emerging Smart Grid industry. Topics will include:

  • The status of the relevant, emerging standards.

  • Innovative communications systems helped or hindered by the emerging technical standards.

  • Regulatory mandates deriving from the emerging technical standards.

  • Business models and value chains driving adoption of technologies in the Smart Grid ecosystem.

  • How will power monitors, switches, controllers, displays, and Home Area Network (HAN) devices interact with each other?

  • How will energy consumption, pricing, and load control or demand response data be made available to the consumer?

  • Impact on Home Energy Use/ToU billing and what devices and services might the utilities offer to enhance HEM?

We've assembled a terrific line up of panelists from across the Smart Grid ecosystem:

  • Rob Conant, Trilliant Networks

  • Elisabeth Brinton, SMUD

  • Micah Myers, Claremont Creek Ventures

  • Panel Moderated by Michael Kanellos of Greentech Media

Seating to non-members is on a first-come, first-serve, limited seating arrangement. Register early to reserve your spot. See registration link below.
