Andy Smith, Past Vice President, Corporate Marketing ,Dolby Laboratories, Inc.
Through January 2009, Andy oversaw Dolby’s Corporate Marketing group worldwide comprised of Global Brand Marketing, Market Research, Internet Marketing, Press Relations, Internal Communications, Creative Services, Marketing Communications and Tradeshow teams. Prior to joining Dolby, Andy served as Vice President of Marketing at LiquidWit, Inc., a self-service creative marketing agency, where he led sales and marketing, developed and implemented product, brand, and communications strategy.   Leading up to LiquidWit, Andy was General Manager of the Entertainment Business Group at BIGWORDS, a college-focused demographic online retailer, where he oversaw business operations as well as business development, product design, communications strategy, and strategic relationship development. Prior to BIGWORDS Andy managed Intel’s business campaign, driving the messaging strategy and the marketing mix while integrating corporate and product strategy.  Before earning his MBA, Andy worked as a management consultant for Integral Inc. and PriceWaterhouseCoopers. Andy holds an MBA from the Anderson School at UCLA, and a BA in Economics from Pomona College.

Eric Bischoff, Partner, Bischoff/Hervey Entertainment
Eric is a partner in Bischoff / Hervey Entertainment Television, a Los Angeles based firm specializing in content creation and production for various broadcast outlets and has created and produced pilots and television series for networks including: Spike TV, A&E, E!, Country Music Television, Tru-TV, Biography and VH-1, including the critically acclaimed Scott Baio is 45 and Single and Scott Baio is 46 and Pregnant, Hulk Hogan Celebrity Championship Wrestling and critically acclaimed Confessions of a Teen Idol.  Prior to forming BHE, Eric Bischoff served as an executive at Turner Broadcasting, responsible for growing the WCW brand. Eric began at Turner as an Executive Producer in 1993, was promoted to Vice President in 1994, Executive Vice President in 1996, and then President in 1998.  During his tenure he produced over 2,500 hours of original programming for TBS and TNT (almost half of it live), 79 Pay-Per-View specials that generated over $300million in gross revenues, and produced approximately 1,500 live events throughout North America, Europe, and Japan.  In addition to his work in the television industry, Eric Bischoff recently added the title of “New York Times Best Selling Author” to his list of credits with the release of “Controversy Creates Cash” in the fall of 2006

Christine Vermes, Corporate Brand Director, Intel Corporation
Christine has nearly 20 years of progressive marketing experience in brand strategy, corporate brand identity, campaign strategy, creative development and integrated marketing and press relations. At Intel, the world’s 7th most valuable brand, Christine most recently drove the corporate reputation campaign designed to strengthen brand loyalty and bolster corporate reputation with opinion leaders. Her campaign helped to reverse a decline in corporate reputation as measured by a move in ranking to #3 from #16 on the Wall Street Journal Harris Interactive Poll – Intel’s highest ranking in the 9-year history of the index. Throughout her career at Intel, Christine has worked in all aspects of marketing including the specialized practices of brand identity where she led the team in refining Intel’s identity system and press relations where she managed the worldwide launches for the Pentium and Centrino brands. Prior to Intel, Christine worked at a Silicon Valley PR agency and an East Coast software start-up. 


Greg Sieck,  President, Sieck Growth
Greg Sieck is a 25 year brand marketing expert having worked in advertising, marketing operations and consulting for a variety of consumer and B2B brands. His most visible work prodded beer drinkers to "Stop and Taste the [Miller] High Life," cell phone users to "make their [AT&T] Wireless phone their only phone" and fast-food fanatics to "Think Outside the Bun" at Taco Bell. As VP Brand and Advertising at Intel, Sieck led the global launch of the Intel Centrino Mobile Technology brand, resulting in 7 million new "Unwired" laptop users within the first 12 months of availability. He was responsible for developing the global positioning and launch program for the Avaya brand, and introduced multiple new products for Mazda. Greg is a member of the CMO Council, IAF and AMA and is often quoted in industry and trade press for his expert opinions on branding and marketing.

Scott Hervey, Partner, Weintraub Genshlea Chediak, Moderator
Scott Hervey is a corporate attorney who works with technology and entertainment/new media companies, as well as brand driven companies on issues concerning Intellectual Property acquisition, and protection, the Internet, licensing and entertainment law. Utilizing his extensive knowledge and experience in trademark law, Scott has successfully guided clients in a variety of industries (from gaming machine manufacturer Aristocrat Technologies, to the Palms Casino and Resort in Las Vegas, to retail operators such as Sherry Fitzpatrick, publicly traded medical device company Thermogenesis, to sports and entertainment figures Hulk Hogan and Chris Webber) in the domestic and international trademark registration process for thousands of trademarks.  Scott also assists his clients in protecting their valuable brands through trademark infringement litigation, domain name infringement arbitration, and proceedings before the United States Patent and Trademark Office and Trademark Trial and Appeals Board.   Scott is one of a handful of entertainment lawyers in Northern California and his work as a talent agent prior to law school gives him a unique understanding of the industry.  His experience in the music, television and independent film industries allows Scott to represent his clients in a wide variety of entertainment transactions.
